Joannie Strickler, a 43-year-old mother of three living her best life in Florida with her youngest son and rescue dogs. She loves and is regularly active in her church. Completely obsessed with coffee, highland cows, and dolphins. Started writing after a many years’ gap to fill her days since God forcefully retired her in 2012 with a massive stroke. Her philosophy, “There are two ways to live your life,1 as if there are no miracles, or 2 that everything is in fact a miracle.” She prefers the latter of the two.

Danny, aged 3, sat in his new room in his new house, building a stuffy station where his stuffed animals would live and play. He asks everyone where his little ViVi is. She is an axolotl and his favorite bedtime stuffy. Finnigan Beginagain, his favorite lizard, jumps up and starts looking and asking everyone. Danny becomes worried and leaves his room to start searching the rest of the house. “Big brother, have you seen my ViVi?”
